An evening inspired by the Rouge Visionaries of our past. An artful evening amongst our city’s leading Visionaries, Influencers and Leaders; The commencement of ArtRepublic 2017 graciously hosted by Teresa Radzinski and US Trust to bound the connections between leading organizations and the Arts.
We were honored to bring together Haskell, U.S. Trust, Bank of America, Harden Insurance, Chubb and AON Insurance under ArtRepublic, a collaboration that is pivotal for our organization and the city. These organizations are all major supporters of the Arts, with U.S Trust providing financing for art acquisition, Harden, Chubb and AON insuring fine art and Haskell being our city’s great patron to the arts.
The moment when fresh inspiration surges the soul is the most transformational moment in an artist’s life. Everything afterwards is the dance of recapturing that feeling over and over until it becomes their natural state. This was the spirit of Pilot Season, a seasonally-curated culinary experience inspired by the creative process. The urban cocktail evening wove influences from Jacksonville’s Golden Age with New York street culture, showcasing artistic expression in all forms, including visual art, performance art, music and culinary art.
Pilot Season took over 400 guests on a tasting tour of samplings from local and regional chefs. This culinary experience included off-menu innovations from some of Jacksonville’s finest chefs and restaurants including Taverna, HOBNOB, Orsay, Element, Coast of Ritz Carlton Amelia Island, Blue Bamboo, Chef Dejun, Blacksheep, Manifest Distillery and Myth Nightclub.
Hosted at MOCA Jacksonville and in collaboration with TEDxJacksonville, ArtRepublic presented The Curated Life, a speaker series featuring artists across mediums and disciplines who are connected by a common theme: the expression of the collective creative consciousness through a chosen art form.
The Curated Life inspired, enlightened and sparked inquiry, leaving us to ask “what does my curated life look like?”
Speaker Series Lineup:
ODD?ROD: Inspirational Introduction
Krista Kim: Light Is The New Ink
Krista Kim explores this question through the medium of Techism, the marriage of technology and art as a way to advance both aspects of our culture.

KEYNOTE with Toni Hernandez: We Are All Artists
