ArtRepublic Presents Immersive Digital Art Exhibition Series in Collaboration with Samsung

Leading curatorial platform, ArtRepublic Global hosted a series of immersive digital art exhibitions in partnership with Samsung at the Samsung 837 flagship experiential store, a digital playground for creators. Each of the four exhibitions featured a panel discussion with the artist(s). Viewers were able to experience digital art in person on view across various Samsung displays at 837. This unique opportunity gave the artists the ability to showcase their works in the intended format on Samsung's showstopper 3-story LED wall.

Natural Phenomenon

On April 29th, ArtRepublic presented a first of its kind NFT exhibit at Samsung 837 marking the mainstream adoption of digital art to the consumer level. More than 75 guests arrived to view the colossal sized NFTs on Samsung 837’s Brand Wall which stands at a width of 7680px and height at 6480px. Digital works were exhibited by five world class artists who later participated in a panel discussion, moderated by ArtRepublic Curator, Jessica Santiago, on how their NFTs were inspired, made and minted. The NFTs were also displayed on 15+ new Samsung 2022 Neo QLED and Frame TVs so attendees could experience its new platform to explore, collect and present digital NFT artwork.

“Natural Phenomenon” presented five notable New York digital artists with works that lean into nature, high levels of motion and rich colorful textures. Artists Shane Griffin, Breakfast, Matea Friend, Jesse Woolston and Nate Mohler, have solidified their presence in the digital art space with notable sales, diverse portfolios, and academic recognition. Their digital NFTs can be seen here in the exhibit catalog and will be available for purchase through SuperRare or OpenSea with a reserve auction.

“Our collaboration with Samsung marks a path to NFT mainstream adoption by offering the public a chance to hear from artists directly on how they are harnessing the technology to be more empowered and attracting new collectors to this space,” said Jessica Santiago, ArtRepublic Founder and Chief Curator. “Inviting creatives and customers to co-mingle in the digital playground Samsung 837 represents is exactly what the public needs to envision a self-curated gallery of digital works that can be displayed right at home.”

GENESIS

The second exhibition featured highly sought-after creator, Christopher Parsons, who has documented for influential musicians and brand giants like Nike and Jordan. As a long time ArtRepublic collaborator, Parsons once again teamed up to reveal his first NFT exhibition, GENESIS.

Christopher Parsons is an American photographer, short film director, artist and modern-day storyteller. His works include portraits, fashion editorials, music videos and documentaries. He gained notoriety and amassed a cult following while on tour with B.o.B, Lupe Fiasco, Usher and Kendrick Lamar. After connecting with Kendrick Lamar, Parsons stayed on his artistic team for nearly a decade developing visual collaborations and documenting the influential musician’s impact on an entire generation. Parsons' striking aesthetic and architectural background can be felt throughout his bodies of work. Known for his signature black and white portraits and short films, he delivers reflective biographic interpretations of his subjects, capturing raw emotion with a layer of sophistication.

The Space Between Us

During June 2022, ArtRepublic Global delivered an immersive digital art exhibition for the fourth annual NFT.NYC conference, titled The Space Between US. The curation included important works by emerging, blue chip and culturally relevant artists like IX Shells, Jesse Woolston and Steve Sweatpants. In partnership with Samsung 837, ArtRepublic hosted an inspiring conversation for the creative community with exhibiting artists on the main stage.

"This is a collection of artists who have mastered the ability to lead us through experiences and show us the value of our emotions and the power of wellbeing," said Jessica Santiago, Chief Curator and Founder of ArtRepublic Global. "With elegance, purpose, and intent, these artists offer us moments to embrace the space between us."

Leading up to the opening of the exhibition, the collection was on display in Times Square for visitors to experience digital art in the public realm, made possible by Samsung.

H. The Dalai Lama for the past 20 years and is now sharing his spiritual encounters through Human Power, a compilation of photography NFTs depicting a state of higher consciousness.
